The format
Four contests. Enter any mix you like — they all settle into one running balance per person.
Your account
- Sign up once with a username and password (top of the page). Every pick, point, and fee is tied to your account — no more guessing who "Pat M." is.
- Your picks stay hidden from everyone else until each game kicks off.
Contest 1 — Bracket $40
- Fill in the whole knockout bracket: pick the winner of every match from the Round of 32 to the Final.
- You score points for each correct winner, escalating by round: R32 = 1, R16 = 2, QF = 4, SF = 8, Final = 16. Max 80.
- A correct pick only counts if that team actually wins in that round — so a busted pick takes its branch down with it.
- Bonus +5: exact final scoreline.
- Bonus +5: correct Golden Boot (tournament top scorer) — settled at the end.
- Locks at the first Round of 32 kickoff. Resubmit any time before then with the same display name to replace your bracket.
Contest 2 — Match picks $10
- Predict the score of each knockout match.
- Exact score = 3 pts. Correct result only (W/D/L) = 1 pt.
- Scores are taken at the final whistle (after extra time; penalty shootouts don't change the goal tally).
- Each match locks at its own kickoff. Predict as many or as few as you like; others' picks stay hidden until kickoff.
Contest 3 — Player to score $5 / pick
- Pick one or more players you think will score in any given game. Totally optional — stack several players on one game, a few games, or none. Each player can only be picked once across the whole contest.
- $5 per pick. For each of your players who scores in their game you get +2 points; if they don't, you get nothing. Either way each $5 is in the pot.
- Goals in normal/extra time count (including penalties). Own goals and penalty-shootout goals don't count.
- Runs on the current slate of games (group stage and knockouts) — it's live now, independent of the bracket. Each pick locks at that game's kickoff; remove a pick beforehand if you change your mind.
- Graded automatically from the live feed. The pool admin can manually fix a pick if the feed can't resolve a name.
Bonus — Third-place playoff $20
- Predict the score of the 3rd-place playoff (the two losing semifinalists).
- Same scoring as match picks: exact = 3 pts, right result = 1 pt.
- Winner takes all (ties split). Locks at that match's kickoff.
How to enter
- Sign up with a username and password at the top of the page (or log in).
- Go to Make your bracket, Make match picks, and/or Pick a scorer and make your picks. They land instantly — no Google Form.
- Come back any time before kickoff to update; your latest pick replaces the old one.
Payouts
- Bracket: 1st 70% / 2nd 30%, 3rd gets their entry back (winner-take-all under 3 entries).
- Match picks: 1st 70% / 2nd 30%, 3rd gets their entry back.
- Player to score: own pot ($5 × every pick made), split 1st 70% / 2nd 30% / 3rd refund by total player-to-score points.
- Third-place bonus: winner takes all.
- The Results tab shows live projected payouts and the minimum set of transfers to settle up — all four contests netted into one balance per person.
